THE NOT-FOR-PROFIT SECTOR

Championing the changemakers.

Good work needs good support.

Our not-for-profit clients are incredible. They help people, save lives, advocate for the vulnerable, protect critically-endangered species and restore hope to humanity.

Their work matters. The way their work is communicated matters too.

Publik works with not-for-profits to reach communities, attract funding and support and inspire people to take action. Our full-service team brings together public relations, marketing, digital and design expertise to help organisations communicate with clarity and purpose.

From creating a new brand to promoting an annual fundraising campaign, we help turn important work into clear, engaging information and stories.

Kiwi pukupuku being translocated to the Brook Waimarama Sanctuary

A sector we are proud to stand by.

Not-for-profits can be powerful. With their clear purpose and strong commitment to the people and places they serve, they punch above the weight of a typically small team.

Publik is proud to work behind the scenes to help these important charities build their profile, connect with supporters and share the difference they make.

We have created brands, developed and promoted annual fundraising campaigns, organised ministerial and stakeholder visits that showcase work and strengthen relationships. We use our influence and expertise to gain their share of positive media attention.

If you ask us what makes us smile, we can tell you about how we helped:

  • the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter raise millions to keep their helicopters, pilots and paramedics in the air

  • the Brook Waimarama Sanctuary since 2016, through its fence construction, pest eradication programme, bridge and path openings, and bird reintroductions, including its successful translocation of pukupuku kiwi, which are now breeding in the safety of their new home in the largest fenced, pest-proof sanctuary in the South Island

  • create the Wellby brand and messaging for their service to combat loneliness and connect people with their communities

  • promote the innovative AI Sandbox as they leapt into action to inform, educate and train people about AI

  • Nelson Tasman Hospice smash its fundraising goals through its annual Hands Up for Hospice appeal

  • upskill 140+ not-for-profits about AI policy and procedures

  • advise Age Concern on its communications and website UX

  • write and design sponsorship and fundraising collateral for the Huia Rugby Club’s mission of a new clubroom

We also provide services to primary and community health organisations such as Te Piki Oranga and Marlborough Primary Health. See some of this work on our Health Sector page.
