HEALTH
Strategic communications and PR for healthcare providers.
Behind-the-scenes support for the critical frontline.
Publik’s health communications expertise comes from more than a decade of in-house department experience and external consultancy project support.
We provide strategic external, internal and stakeholder communications, social marketing campaigns, media training and communications channel development services to primary and community healthcare providers.
We are proud to work behind the scenes to support some of Aotearoa New Zealand’s hardest-working frontline workers to make a positive difference in people’s lives every day.

A workforce we're proud to work with.
Health organisations in Te Tauihu o te Waka-a-Māui comprise an integrated system serving urban, rural and remote communities in the Nelson, Tasman and Marlborough regions.
Stephanie Gray brings in-depth knowledge of the health sector, having served as the Communications Manager at the Nelson Marlborough District Health Board for six years. There is never a dull day in health, but this was a particularly tumultuous time spanning the Covid-19 pandemic and the start of the largest government health reforms in 20 years.
Since being at Publik, Stephanie has led communications projects for the agency’s health clients: Te Piki Oranga, Marlborough Primary Health Organisation, Nelson Bays Primary Health Organisation and Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora.
Her work has included:
developing social marketing campaigns to encourage people to choose the right healthcare, and to return unused medicines for safe disposal,
implementating PR and communications plans to achieve successful organisational milestones, such as mergers and relocations,
leading successful stakeholder and media plans for the launch of new facilities and services,
upgrading providers’ websites to ensure a better user-experience and to optimise them for AI and search engines,
supporting chief executives, board chairs and senior managers with media training and proactive and reactive media engagement,
producing a large range of communications products: print collateral, annual reports, infographics, video and animations,
preparing funding applications and explainers, and advising the strategic positioning of an organisation to catch and hold funders’ attention.
